This last trip I took to Thailand was special to me for so many reasons, but in particular I'm grateful to have met Liz & Ryan. We were set up through a mutual friend (Thanks, Linda!) and it couldn't have worked out any better. Ryan even took a last minute bus for 16 hours each way to make it for the shoot. The couple chose Mala Dhara eco resort and farm for the first location because they believe it truly showcases the beauty of Thailand. The owner is an incredible woman that built farm and eco resort herself. We were so grateful she opened up the space for us to have a delicious meal at and run around in! We encountered some critters including a grumpy buffalo that Liz & Ryan can be seen laughing and running away from! Next we moved to the night market in town. We felt it featured the of the beauty, culture and even chaos that is Thailand. Ryan and Liz have both been living in Thailand volunteering with YWAM for a few years. They met and fell in love there, far from their families and many of their friends. Their family and friends in America, Singapore and abroad have gotten to know the two as a couple through pictures and stories via facebook. Because Thailand is such a big part of that story, it was important to them to have their engagement shoot there and gave them the opportunity to share their lives with those they love no matter how far away they are.
